"Due to the proximity of the release, some people may think that 'Keepers' has some similarity to 'The Lighthouse', an abstract horror starring Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson. But they couldn't be more different. Starring Gerard Butler (from '300'), this feature film bets on a very traditional atmosphere of thriller and suspense to explore the strange, claustrophobic and curious environment of a lighthouse, in which three men find themselves in an unexpected and full of secrets situation. There are no great innovations in format or narrative, but there is an unexpected intensity in the direction of Kristoffer Nyholm (from the excellent series 'Taboo'), which takes the insanity from outside to inside his characters. Butler is as cheesy as always, but it doesn't matter. The suspense is intense, true, well controlled and makes the viewer sit on the edge of the seat."
