After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
"After the unexpected success of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the sequel looks to solidify the franchise and, who knows, secure even more movies and shows. In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, fan-favorite Miles Morales, an even more fun and interesting character than Peter Parker, is coming of age. He's in full adolescence and maturing more and more. After all, his life changed when he was bitten by a spider and given powers and now he's trying to reconcile that with the realization that there exists a parallel universe with Gwen, the Spider-Woman who captured his heart. Though it's much less inspiring than the previous installment, mainly due to the commercial tone taking up time from the footage, the movie still has a captivating protagonist (Miles is way better than Peter!) and, above all, an aesthetic that leaves anyone impressed. The story ends up being left open to prepare the ground for the third installment of the franchise, leaving the best for last, which takes away some of its strength. Still, it's an essential movie for franchise fans looking to marvel at its images."
