Director/choreographer Bob Fosse tells his own life story as he details the sordid life of Joe Gideon, a womanizing, drug-using dancer.
"Directed and written by Bob Fosse (the legendary dancer, actor, choreographer, and director of the original 1972 'Cabaret'), 'All That Jazz' is an autobiographical musical drama, partially inspired by Fosse's mind-bending experience while trying to mount 'Chicago' on Broadway and finish his film 'Lenny' at the same time. Winner of the Palme d'Or at the 1980 Cannes Film Festival and winner of four Oscars (including Best Original Score), 'All That Jazz' certainly echoes Federico Fellini's '8 ½', filmed in an exhausting period for the artist.
