When Cindy decides that she doesn't want to marry her boyfriend, she runs to Mexico City, where new friendships and unexpected paths teach her that there are so much more possibilities on her life and her talent than she imagines.
"Based on the iconic comic book character created by Ricardo Cucamonga, 'Cindy la regia' is a comedy faithful to the original material - that is, it pokes fun at Mexican social stereotypes, particularly the preconceived differences between regios (natives of Monterrey) and chilangos (those from Mexico City). Even though these cultural issues may us Brazilians by, the feature is entertaining in the Mexican style, that is, with its exaggerations and all that comes with the package (for better or for worse)."
