Why watch this film?
A robot — ROZZUM unit 7134, “Roz” for short — is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling.
"The Wild Robot is yet another demonstration that DreamWorks has what it takes to be one of the animation studios offering films that go beyond mere entertainment, turning them into heartfelt works of art (WALL-E, but with a more innovative animation style that blends 3D elements and traditional animation to mimic the look of a book's illustrations. Sometimes it stumbles with a bit of indulgence in action, and there are underlying questions to be raised – it's one thing in the written language of the book, but why do we always imagine nurturing and protective characters as feminine? Nonetheless, The Wild Robot is a visually stunning film that embraces the heart. One of DreamWorks' best."
