Steven Spielberg's masterpiece, which started a true dinosaur craze and has, to this day, brought in billions in new movies, attractions in parks and other products. The story is based on the book by Michael Crichton, who also wrote the screenplay, where a group of scientists discover a way to bring dinosaurs back to life - and human entrepreneurship turns it into a theme park. What could go wrong, right? Spoiler: everything. Along with an interesting script and captivating cast (how can you forget Jeff Goldblum's Malcolm?), the special effects are still jaw-dropping today. A true blockbuster at its core.

After a first historic and spectacular movie, the 'Jurassic Park' franchise went for what all sequels do: explore success to the max, even if it makes the story lose some charm and strength. That's what we see in 'The Lost World: Jurassic Park', a feature film that shows what happened after the tragedy of creating a park populated with dinosaurs. Jeff Goldblum (‘The Fly’) gets a well-deserved highlight in the cast, since Laura Dern and Sam Neill don't return. To equalize the situation, Spielberg calls actress Julianne Moore and actor Vince Vaughn -- in addition, of course, to the return of the beloved and feared dinosaurs. The plot plays more with suspense and the unknown around every corner and bets more on digital effects than practical ones, taking away some of the magic. But still, it's a good movie, which serves as an uncommitted pastime in this magical and fanciful dive that only Spielberg knows how to do.

After a second only mediocre movie, the original 'Jurassic Park' trilogy wraps up its work with a fun film, tailor-made for those who like a good escapism plot. After all, at this point in the "dinosaur island" story, the park is already completely abandoned and without prospects. The plot then shows a couple returning to the island to rescue a son who was there, trapped and alone. William H. Macy and Téa Leoni steal the scene, while the moment of the pterodactyl attacks entered into popular imagination.

"Jurassic World" was a big milestone in blockbuster cinema. The now classic Steven Spielberg film managed to bring together cutting-edge technology of the time to recreate those huge and fascinating monsters, as well as bring us an engaging story and a philosophical plot about man trying to become God. More than two decades later, Universal recreated the franchise with a movie that uses today's technology to make the action sequences and deadly monsters even more spectacular, while trying to make us think about the limits of greed in entertainment. Okay, the feature directed by Colin Trevorrow fails in its philosophical task, but delivers enough adrenaline to entertain us (including several references to the original movie). Marvel fans can still have fun with the interesting chemistry on screen between the protagonists Chris Pratt ("Guardians of the Galaxy") and Bryce Dallas Howard ("Spider-Man 3").

Another chapter of the 'Jurassic Park' franchise - a direct sequel to 'Jurassic World'. Though the saga is doomed to repeat the same stories (here, there's a recycling of ideas from 'The Lost World' and 'Jurassic Park III'), the movie fulfills its premise: being a popcorn entertainment, full of special effects and action scenes to make the hearts of viewers race. For the nostalgic, the good news is the return of the character Ian Malcolm, played by Jeff Goldblum in 'Jurassic Park' - who became a source of memes on the internet. Another surprise in the cast is the cameo of Geraldine Chaplin, a veteran actress and daughter of Charles Chaplin.
