Movies with Frank Grillo to watch now

Die Alone – A post-apocalyptic survival thriller starring Frank Grillo, where a young man with amnesia teams up with an eccentric survivalist to rescue his missing girlfriend in a world ravaged by nature. Facing mysterious creatures and relentless terrors, they search for answers while struggling to survive amid the chaos. Blending psychological horror and science fiction, the film delivers a tense and mysterious experience with a gripping, suspenseful narrative.

The premise is already surprising, though morally debatable. During the 'Purge Night', any American citizen is allowed to kill whoever they want and get away with it. The plot then shows various characters driven by hate to do justice.

This is the second movie of the iconic Marvel character, set in modern times and directed by Anthony and Joe Russo (who would later take on the 'Avengers' franchise). "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" adds a spy and political thriller atmosphere without neglecting the plotlines set up in "The First Avenger". The action sequences are a show themselves, with great fight choreographies. Furthermore, the story includes elements and events that would later have repercussions not only in other Marvel movies, but also in the TV series "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.". This is one of the highlights of the studio.

The story behind 'Boss Level' is curious. It started back in the 2010s, when brothers Chris and Eddie Borey presented the movie project to filmmaker Joe Carnahan. The connection was instant. They shook hands and went out looking for a studio to make the project. It happened to be 20th Century Fox in 2012. Since then, however, things have taken a while to get going: Fox went looking for a new owner (which would later be Disney, years later) and abandoned the project, which ended up being independently funded in 2017. In 2018, they filmed everything. And only three years later, almost like a wounded hero in battle, 'Boss Level' arrived in Brazil. And it's no wonder. After all, the good story of the feature film follows a man (Frank Grillo) who relives the day of his death over and over again. But nothing like Groundhog Day, as in 'Feitiço do Tempo'. Here, despite the similar premise, we have exploding helicopters, action rolling loose and bombs here and there, with the added bonus of director Joe Carnahan simply not taking himself seriously, ensuring good scenes of Grillo and Mel Gibson. It's not an original or memorable movie, but it definitely serves as a fun pastime.
